The start of this 1-day excursion from Marrakech to Ouzoud Waterfalls is an 8:30 hotel or riad pickup. 150 kilometers north of Marrakech, you’ll soon discover why this is one of the best panoramic cascades in all of North Africa.
Early in the morning, depart Marrakech in a private, luxurious car and head north along a road that passes through olive tree-covered areas to the Cascades of Ouzoud.
You can still see the village of Ouzoud from here. You’ll have some free time once you get here to explore the area alone; if not, you can hire a local guide to show you around. Stroll down a network of trails that lead to rock-bottom pools and take in views of the waterfalls that cascade for over 110 meters, one into the other.
As you take in views of the cascades, you can eat lunch at your leisure at one of the neighborhood eateries that serve delectable tagines by the stream. You will be transported back to Marrakech, the red city, around midday.
